Position Summary:

The Practical Nursing Specialist plays a vital role in delivering patient care and administrative support, ensuring that the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of each individual are met under the guidance of a healthcare provider or registered nurse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding front-line service, including welcoming and guiding patients, preparing for examinations, and maintaining patient records.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, conduct point-of-care testing, and perform EKGs as required.
  • Assist with wound care and suture/staple removal.
  • Administer medications (excluding IVs) as directed by a healthcare provider.
  • Conduct phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program.
  • Current, valid license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) is required; IV certification is preferred.
  • Proven skills in clinical and administrative functions, including phlebotomy, lab testing, patient care, and vital sign assessment.
