Patient Care Specialist

At TouchPoint, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to provide exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced healthcare environment. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will be responsible for observing and monitoring assigned patients, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor patient condition and behavior, completing observation reports as required.
- Take initiative in providing compassionate care, responding to patient needs and interacting with staff, patients, and visitors in a friendly and supportive manner.
- Remain at the bedside of assigned patients unless relieved by a qualified staff member, verbally redirecting patients from engaging in at-risk behaviors when necessary.
- Escalate patient concerns or medical distress to assigned medical professionals, participating in collaborative identification and reporting of patient safety issues.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; one to two years of previous experience is preferred.
- CPR AED or basic life support certification is required within 30 days of hire, if required at the facility.
- The ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods, with bending, stooping, reaching up, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
