Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Air Compressor Solutions. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing top-notch maintenance and repair services to our customers' air compressor systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to customer job sites to troubleshoot and maintain air compressors, air dryers, and other air system components
  • Perform diagnostics and determine causes for malfunctions on defective air compressor systems
  • Provide failure analysis and equipment/system recommendations to improve reliability and/or performance
  • Consult with and advise customers on compressed air equipment needs, maintenance, and repairs
  • Technical assistance on equipment start-ups and installations
  • Read and comprehend operational manuals, electrical schematics, and parts breakdowns
  • Document service and installation activities by completing work orders for each job
  • Maintain service vehicle with proper equipment, tools, and parts to promote efficient, factory-approved methods for servicing equipment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Valid driver's license and clean record
  • 2+ years of service work related to industrial equipment (compressed air, HVAC, vacuum, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of compressed air systems and associated components
  • Knowledge of electrical diagrams and mechanical flow diagrams
  • Experience with three-phase electrical and plumbing systems (copper, aluminum) is a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude for industrial equipment
  • Able to read wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • A positive attitude and a dedication to learning – must be able to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Demands
  • Stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl while working on equipment
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. (and occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance)
  • Hook up trailers to a vehicle and be comfortable driving with equipment attached
  • Required to work in areas of extreme temperatures due to weather conditions and operating equipment
  • Ability to climb various equipment and ladders, lift and carry equipment, tools, and components weighing up to 50 lbs.
