Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Space Systems Board Design Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems USA. As a key member of our Space Systems product line, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical and digital board systems for our spacecraft and satellite applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical and digital board systems for spacecraft and satellite applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system-level design and integration
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and specifications
  • Perform worst-case analysis and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth and development of the team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or similar field)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design and development for space systems
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and practices
  • Experience with Cadence Allegro and other design tools
  • Ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Experience with Power Integrity and Signal Integrity analysis
  • Experience with Gerber generation and PCB design
  • Knowledge of VITA/SpaceVPX standards
