Compensation: The hourly wage for this role ranges from $26.00 to $30.00, influenced by factors such as the applicant's skills, qualifications, relevant degrees and certifications, prior experience, market data, and other pertinent elements. This estimate reflects the company's good faith and reasonable assessment of the compensation range at the time of posting.

Job Summary: The Renewable Natural Gas Technician I is tasked with the maintenance and operational oversight of UGI Energy Services' RNG facilities. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various equipment such as valves, controllers, pumps, compressors, boilers, and generators. Daily inspections and routine maintenance are integral to this role, along with the completion of preventative maintenance and compliance documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of RNG facilities and associated dairy operations.
  • Inspect, maintain, and operate facilities safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain knowledge of instrumentation and control systems.
  • Record and analyze daily operational readings to ensure efficiency.
  • Plan and prioritize responsibilities while coordinating with team members and contractors.
  • Serve as a liaison for dairy farm operators.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
  • Assist with the oversight of new RNG project construction.
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
  • Maintain necessary qualifications to perform assigned duties.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
  • Support other departments as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience with regulated commodities, particularly propane and natural gas.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills with the ability to learn operational and maintenance tasks.
  • Professional and reliable work habits with self-direction.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office.
  • Understanding of dairy farm operations, especially digesters.
  • Adaptability to changes in equipment, software, and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork capabilities.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English.
  • Proficiency in a second language is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of industry-related experience.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
  • Valid driver's license with a proven safe driving record.
