Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Account Registrar to join our Admitting Department team. As a Patient Account Registrar, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient registration process for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview patients or their representatives to obtain demographic information
  • Secure insurance information, eligibility, benefits, and authorizations as applicable
  • Collaborate with various departments, including PBX operator function and reception areas
  • Operate a computer to input and retrieve data
  • Communicate effectively with patients and staff using age-specific techniques
  • Maintain proficiency in medical terminology
  • Participate in special projects and assignments as needed
Requirements
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Customer service experience
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
