Job Summary

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Medical Physicist Assistant to join our Radiation Oncology Clinic. As a key member of our team, you will work under the general supervision of the Chief Medical Physicist and other qualified Medical Physicists to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient-specific radiation measurements and calculations
  • Quality assurance tests of pencil-beam-scanning proton therapy plans
  • Assist with radiation surveys of treatment rooms
  • Follow medical physics quality assurance procedures and policies
  • Monitor and adhere to general radiation safety guidelines
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in physics, engineering, mathematics, or other physical science
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
