Position Overview
The Clinical Laboratory Specialist role at MultiCare presents an exciting technical opportunity.

In this position, you will engage in a variety of daily responsibilities ranging from patient analytical laboratory testing, quality assurance, to data evaluation and technical troubleshooting.


Key Responsibilities
  • Receive specimens and ensure accurate identification.
  • Assess specimen suitability and may reject unsuitable samples.
  • Prepare and manage reagents as necessary.
  • Conduct maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a relevant field.
  • Current Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from ASCP or registry eligible.
  • Current Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist Certification or eligible (if duties include phlebotomy).
  • Preferred: Minimum one (1) year of prior laboratory experience.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, retirement benefits, and paid time off.

As required by various pay transparency laws, we provide a competitive salary range for candidates in this position.

The pay scale is $42.61 USD.

However, compensation is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including skill set, experience level, and certifications or education.

If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will align with the appropriate step on the pay scale based on the applicant’s years of experience.
