Piedmont HealthCare is seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist I to join our team. As a Medical Technologist I, you will be responsible for performing laboratory procedures, testing patients of all ages, and interpreting results in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities- Independently perform laboratory procedures for which you have been trained and demonstrated competency.
- Perform laboratory testing on patients of all ages using professional knowledge of laboratory procedures.
- Execute, interpret, and analyze laboratory results in an accurate and timely manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent required, plus sufficient college and/or technical school courses and clinical training to satisfy certification requirements.
- Certification as a medical technologist or medical laboratory scientist by an approved certifying agency, such as ASCP, AMT, or AAB.
- Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in clinical laboratory science, biomedical science, or a life/biological science, and one year of supervised clinical experience as a medical technologist.
