Position Summary:
The Leasing Consultant engages with potential residents to assess their housing requirements, conducting interviews to evaluate eligibility based on predefined criteria. This role involves showcasing available units and property features in accordance with company standards. The consultant provides accurate rental pricing and promotional information, follows up with leads, and manages application-related financial transactions.
Responsible for executing the applicant screening process and generating necessary documentation based on outcomes.
Prepares lease agreements and supplementary leasing documents, ensuring accurate maintenance of lease records and files. Keeps an updated waiting list and other records in compliance with organizational policies and applicable housing regulations.
Facilitates the effective use of property management software for leasing operations, ensuring all data is entered timely and accurately.
Ensures readiness of apartments for new residents by performing inspections and making necessary preparations. Distributes keys, move-in packages, safety information, and other essential documents during lease finalization.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of marketing strategies and leasing practices, striving to meet affirmative marketing objectives. Actively seeks new residents through outreach efforts, direct marketing, and collaboration with community organizations. Stays informed about property features, local amenities, and competitive rental rates.
Contributes to resident retention efforts by providing exceptional customer service post-move-in. Handles work order requests, package management, and supports daily property operations to enhance resident satisfaction.
Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position.
Preferred qualifications include an Associate Degree in Customer Service or Hospitality.
1-2 years of experience in Leasing or Sales is essential.
A valid driver's license may be necessary based on property requirements.
Key skills include knowledge of fair housing laws, affordable housing programs, proficiency in Microsoft Office, accountability, persuasive communication, and customer service expertise.
Experience with One-Site software is a preferred asset.
Compensation:
Salary commensurate with experience, starting at $25.66 per hour.
