Job Summary:

The Nutrition Services Specialist at Faith Regional Health Services is responsible for providing quality food services to patients. This role involves assisting in the delivery of patient meals, collecting menus, and assisting patients with menu selection. The successful candidate will have previous healthcare experience and be able to work a flexible schedule, including after-hours and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities:

Prepares menu and/or tray for all therapeutic diets
Assists patients with completion of menu using proper customer service expectations
Delivers trays to patients using proper patient identification and customer service expectations
Identifies prescribed diet and references for nutrition information
Maintains quality control measures to ensure temperature, attractiveness, and palatability of food
Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors

Requirements:

GED or High School Diploma preferred
Previous healthcare experience preferred
Previous food service experience preferred
Language Skills - Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language required
