Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Arriving on time for scheduled shifts and demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively while performing assigned tasks safely.
  • Enhancing sales and customer service through proactive engagement with guests.
  • Performing the following tasks:
  • Delivering prompt, friendly service to guests.
  • Operating the cash register and credit card scanner, accurately processing transactions.
  • Managing the cash drawer and ensuring accountability for all financial transactions.
  • Receiving fuel deliveries and conducting daily safety inspections of equipment.
  • Checking in and organizing delivered products.
  • Updating promotional materials as directed.
  • Conducting daily audits and inventory counts as required.
  • Restocking displays and maintaining cleanliness in public areas.
  • Ensuring restroom facilities are clean and well-supplied.
  • Maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility, including floors and windows.
  • Participating in mentoring new team members to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Addressing guest special requests promptly and accurately.
  • Upholding all safety and operational standards in accordance with company policies.

Leadership Responsibilities:

This position does not have formal supervisory duties; however, every associate has the opportunity to lead by example.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience or training; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions and communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic math and handling currency.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions and solve problems.
  • Other Qualifications: Must meet state requirements for operating certain equipment.
  • Certificates, Licenses: Valid Driver's License or State I.D. Card.

This role requires physical activity, and associates are expected to adhere to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment as necessary.
