Nursing Assistant

Fairview Health Services is seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. This is a 72-hour per two weeks position on the Night shift, with 12-hour shifts and every third weekend. The role is eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, and more.
Responsibilities- Assist professional nurses in delivering patient care, including personal grooming, bathing, toileting, and feeding.
- Transport patients and equipment, set up and maintain patient rooms, and reorder and stock supplies.
- Monitor patient condition, take and record vital signs, and report unusual findings to the RN.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge of patients, and orient patients and their families to the environment.
- Transport patients to appointments on time and use transfer belts when assisting patients with transfers and/or ambulation.
- Clean, set up, and maintain rooms and equipment, and accurately document tasks performed.
- Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required.
- One or more of the following: completion of Fairview's OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program, six months of recent direct care experience, current enrollment in an LPN, RN, or Nurse Practitioner program, or current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
