Job Summary:
Abacus Technology is seeking a skilled Surveyor to join our team in marking and documenting property lines for Robins AFB. This is a full-time position that requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research of legal records, survey records, and land titles to gather information about property boundaries in areas to be surveyed.
- Measure distances and angles between points on, above, and below the Earth's surface using advanced equipment and techniques.
- Utilize known reference points to determine the exact location of important features and ensure accurate mapping.
- Record and verify the accuracy of surveying data, preparing plots, maps, and reports as necessary.
- Present findings to site managers and stakeholders, providing clear and concise recommendations for future surveying efforts.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in surveying, with a strong understanding of land measurement and documentation principles.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g. surveying, geography, engineering) preferred.
- Proficiency in using Global Positioning System (GPS) units and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology.
- Experience with CAD software and digital mapping tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
- US citizenship and active Secret clearance required.
