About the Role

The Sustainability, Health and Safety (SHS) Program Manager will play a critical role in supporting the continuous improvement of the SHS program performance by ensuring program implementation, adherence and evaluation. This position will support operations management through consulting, coaching and mentoring to ensure program implementation in alignment with strategic performance targets as directed by their manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a 1-year business plan ensuring alignment with the overall corporate strategic plan and immediate manager's business plan.
  • Ensure consistent application of the Badger safety program across the organization, by SHS professionals, Badger employees and other stakeholders.
  • Adhere to and support adoption of applicable regulatory changes and communicate the appropriate changes to Badger personnel.
  • Conduct priority-based area visits across the organization to complete coaching, mentoring and trust.
  • Support accident and incident investigations, review and preparation of incident reports and summaries, including the preparation and distribution of Safety Alerts from post-accident results.
Qualifications
  • Education: Undergraduate degree, Graduate degree preferred. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Preferred
  • Knowledge of Federal, state, provincial and local safety, transportation, and environmental regulations
  • Knowledge of industry safety training
  • 5+ years' experience preferred in the following Industries:
    • Vacuum, Pump Trucks, or Fleet
    • Commercial Underground Construction and/or Utilities
    • Oil and Gas
    • Waste

The salary for this position will be commensurate with education or work experience. Candidates will be required to successfully complete pre-employment screening, which may include background check, MVR history and a drug test.
