Job Summary

Salem Hospital, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Dietitian to join our team in providing exceptional patient care. As a key member of our healthcare team, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing personalized nutrition plans for patients, ensuring optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Nutrition Plans: Create and execute comprehensive nutrition plans for patients, taking into account their medical history, dietary needs, and lifestyle.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Conduct Nutrition Assessments: Perform thorough assessments of patients' nutritional status, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions.
  • Provide Education and Support: Educate patients and their families on healthy eating habits, nutrition planning, and disease management, promoting long-term health and wellness.
  • Monitor and Evaluate Patient Progress: Regularly assess patients' progress, making adjustments to nutrition plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Stay Current with Industry Developments: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest nutrition research, guidelines, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Nutrition or related field, with licensure in the State of Massachusetts as a Dietitian.
  • Experience: 1+ years of progressive therapeutic experience in nutrition, with demonstrated competency in patient care and nutrition planning.
  • Registration and Certification: Currently registered as a dietitian (RADA) or eligible to obtain R.D. credentials within 12 months of hire.
