Job Summary

The Division of Child Protection within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a pediatrician with expertise in child abuse pediatrics. About the Department

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is a vibrant academic department comprising over 200 faculty members in 16 subspecialty divisions. The department is committed to promoting and enhancing the health of children through outstanding clinical care, exemplary education, and cutting-edge research.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide inpatient consultations and outpatient care at the American Family Children's Hospital and other UW Health-approved locations.
  2. Coordinate and collaborate with child protective services, law enforcement, and other community partners.
  3. Carry out independent research and scholarly activity in an area of interest to the candidate and the division.
  4. Teach a variety of learners, including medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications

Required qualifications include a terminal degree (MD, DO, or equivalent), a Wisconsin medical license, and board certification or eligibility in Child Abuse Pediatrics. Preferred qualifications include completion of an accredited fellowship training program in child abuse pediatrics and experience in an academic medical setting.
