Position Overview

Sign-On Bonus: $1,000.00 available within the first year of employment

Role Summary: Collaborates with the leadership team to ensure a safe, stable, and professionally guided environment for residents placed through the Department of Children, Youth and Families. This role emphasizes the development of leadership capabilities to effectively oversee TST Milieu Counselors within the residential treatment framework. The Shift Supervisor should embody a positive attitude, integrity, empathy, and cultural sensitivity to meet the diverse needs of the program. Responsible for monitoring the residential program while upholding Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) principles in the milieu environment.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a social work-related discipline or substantial experience in residential/childcare settings, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Awareness and sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic factors.
  • Ability to apply appropriate child management techniques, which may involve passive physical restraint.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation with at least three seats, and proof of automobile insurance.
  • Bilingual abilities are rewarded with an additional 6% compensation above the base salary.

Physical Demands: This role involves residential and community engagements, requiring the ability to:

  • Travel to clients' residences, community sites, and office locations, which may involve navigating walkways, stairs, and elevators.
  • Lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Communicate effectively using voice, sight, and hearing.
