Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Select Specialty Hospital - Youngstown. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patient needs and develop effective treatment plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with complex medical and surgical conditions, including mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy.
  • Insert and remove endotracheal tubes, as well as perform other respiratory procedures as needed.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement by participating in quality assurance activities and contributing to the development of new policies and procedures.
  • Teach and counsel patients and their families on respiratory care and disease management.

Requirements

  • Active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
  • Current state licensure.
  • ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) year of related experience.
