Job Summary

Mercy Health is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Administer respiratory therapies and treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and ventilator management, to patients with a range of respiratory conditions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote self-care and independence.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Current Respiratory Care License in the state of employment.
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred.
  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association certification.
  • ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross certification.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support - American Heart Association certification.
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - AAP/AWHONN certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required for Home Care/DME.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional.
  • EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training preferred.
