Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Mercy Health. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, analyzing data to create effective treatment plans.
  • Perform treatments and therapies according to physician orders, modifying procedures as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, patient medical charting, and recordkeeping.
  • Provide patient education on cardiopulmonary diseases/disorders and associated treatment options.
  • Set up and maintain respiratory therapy equipment and supplies.
  • Respond to cardio-pulmonary resuscitations and participate as indicated by clinical circumstances.
Requirements
  • Current Respiratory Care License in the state of employment.
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialed.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.
  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association required.
  • ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross required.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support - American Heart Association required.
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - AAP/AWHONN preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required for Home Care/DME.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional.
  • EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training preferred.
