Medical Staff Coordinator Role

Dallas Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, is a 155-bed acute care hospital accredited by The Joint Commission. Our hospital offers a wide range of medical services, including 24/7 emergency care, cardiology, wound care, surgical services, cardiac catheterization lab, and outpatient therapy.

We are an award-winning team of dedicated professionals committed to our core values of quality, compassion, and community. Our hospital is the only trauma center in the vicinity and is also a Certified Chest Pain Center.

The Medical Staff Coordinator has the ability to function in a demanding environment by navigating multiple projects simultaneously and effectively supporting a busy Medical Staff Office. This role is responsible for assigned Medical Staff Departments as assigned by the Director/Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates all aspects of credentialing, including applications, reappointments, proctoring, and competencies.
  • Interfaces with physicians and hospital management staff in a positive and professional manner.
  • Requires a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and/or CPMSM certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Medical Staff Services Department and/or acute care hospital experience required.
  • Must have strong computer, communication, and writing skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
