Biologics Coordinator Job Description

At US Derm Support Roles, we are seeking a highly skilled Biologics Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating and assisting patients and clinics with all prior authorizations and prescription protocols for biologic medications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate all prior authorizations for biologics and ensure timely delivery for patients.
  • Communicate with patients on medication approvals and denials, and document all communication in the medical record.
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments following company protocol, provider's treatment plans, and medication intervals.
  • Obtain necessary clinical information from the medical record and provider to process prior authorizations.
  • Ensure all medications have been received prior to patient appointments.
  • Coordinate meetings with pharmaceutical representatives to discuss biologics in detail and ensure timely delivery for patients.
  • Adhere to compliance and complete compliance training.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to lead by example and handle multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and computer skills, with the ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, board, clients, and the public.
