Overview

Dallas Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, is a 155-bed acute care hospital accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital offers a wide range of medical services, including 24/7 emergency care, cardiology, wound care, surgical services, cardiac catheterization lab, and outpatient therapy.

The hospital is the only trauma center in the vicinity and is also a Certified Chest Pain Center. Dallas Medical Center is a recipient of multiple Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Awards and eight Healthgrades Five-Star ratings over the past three years.

Responsibilities

The Medical Staff Coordinator will have the ability to function in a demanding environment by navigating multiple projects simultaneously and effectively supporting a busy Medical Staff Office.

Responsibilities include assigned Medical Staff Departments as assigned by Director/Manager. The coordinator will facilitate all aspects of credentialing, including applications, reappointments, proctoring, and competencies. The coordinator will interface with physicians and hospital management staff in a positive and professional manner.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

  • Associates degree preferred or equivalent education/experience.
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and/or CPMSM required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Medical Staff Services Department and/or acute care hospital experience required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong computer, communication, and writing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required. The candidate must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services and/or acute care hospital experience is preferred.
