Swoon Staffing (A Fortune 500 client of ours) is partnering with a leading, global Medical Equipment Manufacturing company to fill the role of Automation System Development Lead (Allen-Bradley). This exciting opportunity is perfect for experienced Automation Engineers seeking a challenging position within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Location: On-site in Marion, NC.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $135,000 per annum, plus an 8% bonus.

Job Description:

This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking manufacturing company as an Automation System Development Lead. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) PLC and a strong background in controls engineering within a manufacturing or packaging/loading system environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance the company's manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct technical troubleshooting and execute problem resolution for existing and new equipment/systems.
  • Support in the planning, installation, and initiation of new equipment and systems.
  • Initiate the development or updates of project-specific protocols and operating instructions.
  • Provide technical direction to fellow engineering personnel, maintenance technicians, and supervisors.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and other functional groups on manufacturing regulatory compliance issues.
  • Analyze plant manufacturing facilities, optimize processes, and automate systems, including validation planning, VIP identification, and implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Controls/Automation Engineer (3+ years for the regular level).
  • 7+ years of experience with Allen Bradley PLC (3+ years for the regular level).
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Experience with control changes, QMS systems, and GMP documentation.
  • Work experience in manufacturing or high-speed automation environments.
  • BS in Engineering is required.
