As a Senior Staff Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive pharmacy services to our patients and collaborating with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to our pharmacy team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management, disease state management, and patient education.
- Collaborate with our healthcare team to develop and implement evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and protocols.
- Conduct proactive drug therapy reviews and monitoring, providing drug information and patient counseling as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including medication use evaluations, adverse drug reaction reporting, and medication error prevention.
- Develop and maintain relationships with our healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical research and guidelines, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Pharmacist license in good standing in the state of Texas.
- Successful completion of an ASHP-accredited post-graduate year one (PGY1) residency training program or three years of pharmacist experience applicable to the specific work setting.
- One year of experience precepting pharmacist students and/or pharmacy residents.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with our healthcare team.
- Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification.
- Intravenous (IV) certification.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare technology.
- Knowledge of advanced principles regarding rational drug therapy, including but not limited to, professional and technical competence in the selection, evaluation, utilization, and distribution of drugs and drug information.
