Job Summary

As a Mobile Equipment Technician at Tellus Equipment Solutions, you will be responsible for independently performing in-field equipment diagnostics and repairs by operating a mobile service vehicle and traveling to customer locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentorship and Training: Mentor Service Technician and Apprentice Technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure successful completion of tasks.
  • Customer Service: Identify and communicate solutions for customer service opportunities, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders, submitting information in a timely manner.
  • Professional Development: Participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs to develop skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment required to perform job responsibilities, ensuring safe and efficient completion of tasks.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience performing service repairs, with demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics.
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in off-road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment; experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for diagnostic purposes; experience with basic computer functions and Service ADVISORTM or other computer-based diagnostic repair tools.
  • Tools and Equipment: Must have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license required; CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred.
