Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Factory Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance to our production lines, equipment, and facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair production machinery, testers, and facility systems and equipment as needed.
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools, testers, and shop power tools to accomplish tasks.
  • Read and comprehend electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints and schematics to perform troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Work with engineers, technicians, production, and maintenance associates to resolve equipment issues and repairs.
  • Provide written documentation and reports as requested.
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and communicate with other supervisors to coordinate repair activities in individual departments.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Train or instruct others on technical issues and operation of equipment as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), two year industrial electronic course from a reputable school.
  • Two to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, sketches, diagrams, and memos.
  • Ability to create and write correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees, customers, clients, and vendors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to encompass establishing productive relationships with company management and personnel.
