Job Overview

At New York Life, we're committed to providing financial security and success for people in every community. As a Development Manager, you'll play a critical role in equipping agents with the tools and training they need to thrive in our General Office team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and monitor New Org Agent retention and production efforts.
  • Implement NYLIC University's Blended Learning Curriculum and Critical Selling Skills Systems, ensuring agents are notified of course deadlines and virtual session offerings.
  • Understand and utilize NYLIC University Online, including system navigation for Development Managers and agents, assignment of scheduled offerings, assessment review, and tracking.
  • Stay current with NYL Central implementation, ensuring agents are aware of and trained to leverage new system features and functionalities.
  • Build partnerships with the General Office Field Management Team to execute the Field Development System effectively, including conducting Field Observation and Demonstration sessions with agents.
  • Lead National Prospecting Week efforts at the GO level, ensuring agent prospecting activities are scheduled, planned, and executed accordingly.
  • Channel and promote sales initiatives and incentives with agents, GO Field Management Teams, and the Zone, developing a solid knowledge-base of NYLIC products.
  • Work with the Managing Partner to ensure the complete and proper implementation of the FDS system in the General Office.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Two-time Council qualifier with a solid Life Case Rate (specific to internal applicants) or Previous PF2 experience.
  • Valid State Life and Health Licenses.
  • FINRA Registrations - Series 6 & 63.
