Job Summary

Nuvance Health is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant Resident to join our team. As a key member of our medical staff, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough medical assessments, including obtaining medical histories and reviewing patient records.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory and imaging studies, to inform treatment decisions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patient preferences and medical needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient information, including symptoms, test results, and treatment plans, in a clear and concise manner.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their healthcare.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, promoting a culture of excellence within our organization.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a Physician Assistant or equivalent.
  • Prior experience as a staff physician is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex medical information and make informed decisions.
