Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Project Manager III to join our team at the Texas Military Department (TMD). As a key member of the Construction and Facilities Management Office Directorate (CFMO), you will be responsible for coordinating the planning, initiation, and delivery of construction and repair projects. This is a complex journey-level project management role that requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules
• Coordinate project activities with state agencies, government jurisdictions, and private sector partners
• Develop and evaluate project proposals and bids
• Monitor and manage project costs, quality, and timelines
• Identify and mitigate project risks and difficulties
• Communicate project information and status to stakeholders and team members
• Plan, assign, and supervise the work of project team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
• Seven years of experience in project management of facilities construction projects or related work
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Experience in interpreting construction drawings and project management software
• Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint applications
• Experience with Microsoft Project scheduling software
