Entry-Level Laboratory Technician - Construction Materials Testing

RCG Moody International Limited c/- Intertek is looking for a CMT Laboratory Technician I to be part of our Building & Construction division. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to launch a rewarding career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) sector.

The Building & Construction division provides assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services, alongside building science solutions, to guarantee Total Quality Assurance in the constructed environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of tests, observations, and site evaluations under guidance or according to established protocols
  • Utilize testing apparatus for concrete laboratory assessments such as Compressive Strength Testing and Shrinkage Testing
  • Employ testing equipment for soil laboratory evaluations including Standard & Modified Proctor Testing and Sieve Analysis
  • Maintain thorough documentation of testing outcomes
  • Use a calculator for computations related to test results
  • Communicate effectively with clients and project teams
  • Adhere to safety protocols and practices
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
  • Previous experience in laboratory construction materials testing is advantageous
    • Training will be provided for candidates with limited experience
  • ACI Concrete Strength Certification is preferred
  • ACI Aggregate/Soils Base Testing Certification is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Basic math, calculator, and computer proficiency
  • Ability to interpret and understand work plans
  • Willingness to work off-shift and overtime as needed
  • Valid Driver's License with a reliable driving history
Physical Requirements:
  • Capability to lift, move, push, and pull moderate to heavy weights
  • Good hearing for effective communication
  • Occasional kneeling and squatting
  • Extended periods of standing and walking
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Occasional climbing may be required
