Acute Care LPN Orthopedics Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on the Surgical Specialties/Orthopedics & Limb Salvage Inpatient Unit at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver patient-centered acute nursing care to individuals with a variety of medical issues or who are preparing for or recovering from surgery.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to implement a plan of care and education to maintain and restore health and prevent complications.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including collecting assessment data, administering medications, and performing activities of daily living.
- Perform sterile and non-sterile treatments, including tube feedings, ostomy care, Foley catheter insertion/care, and wound care.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing required or completion of a pharmacology course
- 1-2 years experience within a Rehabilitation or acute setting required or new graduates considered based on student clinical experiences
- LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure required and CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation required
