Job Summary

The Respiratory Care Practitioner III PRN is responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, education, and evaluation. This role requires a strong understanding of respiratory therapy principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care services to patients, including oxygen and aerosolized medication delivery, ventilator care, bronchial hygiene therapy, and diagnostic services.
  • Assess patient's physical status and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Perform CPR and other life-saving interventions as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school for Respiratory Care.
  • Current Respiratory Care License in the state of employment.
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialed.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare technologies.
