Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to join our team as a specialist in independent medical evaluations. In this role, you will work closely with veterans to review medical records, conduct comprehensive assessments, and complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs). Your expertise and compassion will play a critical role in helping us achieve our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough reviews of veterans' medical records through our secure web portal.
* Perform in-depth, non-treating assessments of veterans to gather vital information about their health conditions.
* Complete and submit DBQs based on VA-specific templates to provide accurate and comprehensive medical findings.
* Ensure that all DBQs are thoroughly reviewed, accurate, and submitted within 24 hours of the assessment.
* Assess up to four veterans daily, providing personalized attention and care.
Requirements:
* Current MD or DO license with specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
* Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology is highly desirable; candidates with a completed two-year residency in a relevant field will also be considered.
* Excellent typing skills and strong attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
The estimated salary for this position is around $150,000 - $220,000 per year.
