Position Summary
The United Nations Foundation is dedicated to addressing global challenges through innovative solutions and partnerships. We are currently seeking an intern to support our initiatives in federal and external affairs, focusing on climate action and policy development. This role is ideal for individuals eager to contribute to impactful projects and gain valuable insights into the intersection of state and federal climate policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of agendas and outreach strategies for climate-focused workshops and meetings.
- Collaborate with team members to create materials that facilitate major organizational events.
- Conduct research on the implementation of climate initiatives and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Monitor federal climate policies, funding opportunities, and draft informative newsletters for stakeholders.
- Provide additional support as required to ensure project success.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an undergraduate or graduate program.
- Strong research capabilities and effective written communication skills.
- Demonstrated interest in climate policy and collaborative efforts.
- Familiarity with federal climate initiatives is a plus.
- Ability to convey complex information in an accessible manner.
- Must exhibit responsibility, flexibility, and a commitment to the mission of the United Nations Foundation.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Availability to work up to 29 hours per week during standard business hours.
- Adherence to attendance and punctuality expectations.
