Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Assistant to support our team with daily operations and work independently in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, log, stage, and/or document delivered material, equipment, property, and supplies for distribution
  • Perform basic quality inspections and report non-conforming/damaged material as required
  • Prepare commercial/Mil-Spec paperwork and packaging for the shipment of material, equipment, property, and supplies IAW applicable Mil-Spec standards or best commercial practices
  • Prepare/inspect outbound shipments for conformity to purchase order specifications or as directed by shipping instructions
  • Input/extract data to/from Sage X3, Vendor Shipping Module, Wide Area Work Flow, and other related platforms to perform shipping functions
  • Assist in maintaining and creating shipping and receiving records and logs
  • Perform standard safety and basic maintenance checks on and operate warehouse-related vehicles and mechanized handling equipment
  • Make deliveries and pick-ups when requested
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic math skills and understanding of weights and dimensions
  • Comfortable working with power tools for basic carpentry/crate building tasks
  • Attention to detail, organized, and able to multitask
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take the initiative to work independently
Work Environment

This job operates in a warehouse environment with various noise levels and hot or cold temperatures with minimum climate control.

Physical Requirements
  • Long periods of standing and sitting
  • Able to lift, carry, and transport heavy equipment and boxes weighing up to 50lbs for short distances
  • Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, twist, and walk up to 8-10 hours per day
