Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mobile Crisis Outreach Liaison to join our team at Hays County. As a key member of our crisis response team, you will provide critical support to individuals experiencing mental health crises, ensuring they receive the necessary care and resources to achieve recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and develop individualized crisis treatment plans, working closely with clients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide crisis intervention services, including on-site assessments, counseling, and support, in a variety of settings, including homes, medical facilities, and community locations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement, healthcare providers, and social services, to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices and emerging trends in crisis intervention and mental health support.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as social work, counseling, or psychology, or a bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques, mental health principles, and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Community Services (QMHP-CS).
  • Experience working in crisis intervention, mental health, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
