Position Overview

The Easterseals Blake Foundation has evolved from its origins as the Cerebral Palsy Foundation of Southern Arizona to become a leading provider of comprehensive behavioral health services, child welfare, and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to positively impact the lives of over 40,000 individuals and families across multiple counties in Arizona.

As an Inclusion Coach for Early Care and Education, you will collaborate with early childhood education (ECE) professionals to facilitate the effective inclusion of children with special needs in designated educational environments. Your role will encompass:

  • Conducting classroom evaluations and developing tailored goals.
  • Providing individualized technical support and assistance in identifying children with special needs.
  • Participating in the creation of Individualized Family Services Plans (IFSP) and Individualized Education Plans (IEP).
  • Coordinating therapy consultations and referrals to appropriate service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing all relevant processes, policies, and procedures associated with EBF coaching services.
  • Maintaining a dual focus on building relationships with participants while promoting program activities that emphasize strengths.
  • Applying knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices in early care settings.
  • Adhering to the core values and ethical standards set forth by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
  • Meeting all contractual timelines and requirements as established by EBF.
  • Traveling to various child care centers and family home providers to deliver on-site coaching.
  • Orienting ECE staff to program policies and commitments.
  • Facilitating the development of individualized classroom or center plans through assessment and collaborative discussions.
  • Collaborating with other ECE professionals and technical assistance providers.
  • Supporting ECE staff in identifying children needing further evaluation and communicating this with families.
  • Assisting staff in integrating IFSP/IEP outcomes into daily classroom routines.
  • Conducting regular meetings with program participants and technical assistance providers.
  • Planning and delivering training sessions based on best practices in adult learning.
  • Providing constructive feedback to colleagues and participants.
  • Attending staff meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and departmental impacts.
  • Ensuring timely completion of required documentation and reports.
  • Utilizing effective conflict resolution strategies.
  • Performing any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Early Intervention or Early Childhood Special Education, preferably in inclusive settings.
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements, including background checks and fingerprint clearance.
  • Possession of a valid Arizona driver's license and willingness to use a personal vehicle for work purposes.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Specialty Instructor Status in the Arizona Early Childhood Workforce Registry.
