Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement an educational framework with interactive classroom activities aligned with best practices and early learning benchmarks.
  • Serve as a positive role model for the teaching staff, encouraging success through mentorship and support.
  • Develop age-appropriate individual and group activities that enhance children's growth in social, cognitive, and emotional areas.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
  • Foster a healthy classroom atmosphere by adhering to hygiene, cleanliness, safety, and security standards for the children.
  • Oversee teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure adherence to planned activities and safety protocols.
  • Keep precise records, forms, and files current.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to improve teaching effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of professional childcare experience; 1 year or more preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills along with basic computer proficiency.
  • High energy level and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, children, and parents to promote teamwork.
  • Solid understanding of child development principles.
  • Certification in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid.
  • Successful completion of a thorough background check and health screening.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Physical requirements include walking, manual dexterity, hearing acuity, and visual capabilities.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
