Job Title: Accounting Supervisor

The Accounting Supervisor is a key member of the Global Accounting & Control Team, reporting to the Global Accounting Director based in St. Paul, MN. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating the month-end close process and serving as a finance partner to divisions and functions across the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Ecolab monthly general ledger close process in SAP
  • Review and analyze monthly financial results for the Ecolab entities
  • Prepare and review various journal entries prepared by the NA Accounting team during the month
  • Work closely with the Global Business Services (GBS) team in Buenos Aires during month-end close, and throughout the month on various accounting procedures
  • Monitor clearing accounts during close to ensure appropriate balances
  • Review monthly account reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts
  • Assist in the quarterly balance sheet fluctuation review of the Ecolab entities
  • Provide accounting and policy guidance to divisions and functions across the company
  • Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits
  • Assure policies are being followed in accordance with SOX, US GAAP and Corporate Policies
  • Lead special projects and ad hoc analyses as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5 years of accounting and/or finance experience
  • No immigration sponsorship available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA, CMA or MBA
  • Experience with SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Blackline and Microsoft Office Applications
  • Strong accounting background, attention to detail, and well-developed organizational skills
  • Results oriented, proactive, and possesses a high level of integrity
  • Ability to work independently and resolve complex issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates ability to work well across divisions and functions (HR, Payroll, Audit, Tax, Treasury)
