Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney Opportunity

Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. is seeking an experienced Attorney to join our Indianapolis office, specializing in Workers' Compensation defense litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled attorney looking to advance their career.

About the Role

As a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney, you will provide expert advice and representation to clients in litigation risks and outcomes, legal rights and obligations, and other related matters. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing client communication and advice on litigation risks and outcomes, legal rights and obligations, etc.
  • Evaluating findings and developing strategies and arguments for case presentations.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents, analyzing issues, and advising on legal matters.
  • Preparing and attending mediations and hearings as required.
  • Client interaction and problem resolution related to case hearings.
  • Integrating best practices and standards in handling clients and their cases.
  • Timely preparation of discovery to opposing parties and responding to discovery.
  • Developing new clients and maintaining relationships with existing clients.
  • Meeting requirements for designated minimum billable time (hours/receivables).
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of litigation experience.
  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited university.
  • Admission to practice law and good standing with the State of Indiana bar, with ability to be admitted in all Federal District Courts in Indiana.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and produce high-quality work.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Westlaw, and time-billing software.
