Key Responsibilities:
- Provide client communication and advice on litigation risks and outcomes, legal rights and obligations, etc.
- Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for case presentations.
- Draft and review legal documents, and advise on issues related to the area of law practiced.
- Prepare and attend mediations and hearings as required.
- Interact with clients and resolve issues related to case hearings.
- Integrate best practices and standards in handling clients and their cases.
- Prepare and respond to discovery requests from opposing parties.
- Develop new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients.
- Meet requirements for designated minimum billable time (hours/receivables).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-3 years of litigation experience.
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited university.
- Must be admitted to practice law and in good standing with the bar of the State of Indiana and able to be admitted in all Federal District Courts in Indiana, if not already admitted.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and research skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and produce an accurate and high-quality work product.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel, Westlaw, and time-billing software.
