Position Summary:

The role involves managing customer orders, ensuring effective communication regarding order status, and maintaining strong customer relations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process customer orders and provide timely updates to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Place orders with vendors and maintain ongoing communication regarding order status.
  • Coordinate logistics and transportation to ensure prompt delivery of customer orders.
  • Engage with other vendors, such as independent machine shops, to guarantee on-time delivery.
  • Ensure pricing accuracy for both customers and vendors to meet company profit objectives.
Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience in customer service within a dynamic office environment.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous for communication with vendors.
  • Support the Materials Manager and Shipping Department in daily operations and customer communications.
Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Materials Manager.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Daily monitoring of customer portals and communication with customers as needed.
  • Assisting the Shipping Department with documentation and scheduling pickups.
  • Participating in cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Engaging in plant-wide 5S initiatives and promoting teamwork.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Creating and managing spreadsheets, data tables, and reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, are essential.

Skills Required:
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with customers and work collaboratively.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks.
