About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team at Cartersville Comprehensive Treatment Center. As a key member of our outpatient treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with opioid use disorder.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to patients, utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account each patient's unique needs and goals.
  • Conduct initial and follow-up assessments to evaluate patient progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate referrals to other programs or facilities as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention and case management services to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Act as a liaison between referral sources and patients, facilitating communication and ensuring a smooth transition into treatment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's or Master's degree in a social or health services field preferred.
  • Prior experience in an addiction recovery and/or medication-assisted treatment (MAT) environment is highly desirable.
  • Licenses or certifications in a relevant field (e.g., CACT, CAC, CADCT, CADC, CAADC, CCS, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LPC) are not required but are a plus.
