Job Summary

Ridgeview Institute Smyrna is seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Counselor to join our team in Smyrna, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to individuals struggling with chemical dependency, substance abuse, or addiction.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in compliance with The Joint Commission and CMS standards of care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
  • Conduct assessments, evaluations, and counseling sessions to address patients' needs and goals.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Document patient interactions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work or a related field.
  • Experience and expertise in dual diagnosis, 12-step programs, and substance abuse.
  • Current licensure or certification in substance abuse counseling, or in process of obtaining.
  • CPR/First Aid and CPI Training.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
