Kinesiology Professor

Job Summary

The East Central University seeks a highly qualified Instructor/Assistant Professor in Kinesiology to join our faculty. This is a ten-month position with the possibility of summer teaching duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate level.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctorate in Kinesiology, or a related field, from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of five years of higher education experience, teaching both undergraduate and graduate level courses, or related experience.
• Demonstrated commitment and evidence of effective classroom teaching, scholarship/research, and institutional/professional contributions.
• Demonstrated ability to teach in traditional and non-traditional formats and settings.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering quality instruction in courses for the undergraduate Kinesiology and/or graduate Sports Administration program, supervising undergraduate and/or graduate practicums, advising undergraduate and graduate students, pursuing a focused area of research and scholarship, holding active membership in relevant professional associations, and serving on committees and participating in official activities at the department, college, and university levels.
