Job Overview

TTL Inc is seeking a seasoned Transportation Construction Inspector to join our team in Tuscaloosa. As a key member of our engineering design firm, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of roadway construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document and inspect roadway construction projects to verify compliance with project plans and specifications
  • Conduct daily reports on contractor labor, equipment, and progress
  • Assist in computing earthwork quantities and documenting construction operations
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure project deliverables meet company standards
Requirements
  • Eight years' experience or a bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in related technology
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work outdoors
  • Possess at least one or more of the following ALDOT construction certifications:
    • Asphalt Technician Level I
    • Level II Quality Management Technician
    • Certified Concrete Technician (ACI and ALDOT certification)
    • Certified Asphalt Roadway Technician
    • Work Zone Safety Certification
    • Radiological Safety Course Certification
    • Qualified Credentialed Inspector (QCI)
