Position: Senior Principal Scientist, Pharmacometrics Leader

Location: Remote options available

Overview:
Johnson & Johnson is seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Scientist to take on the role of Pharmacometrics Leader. This position is integral to the Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics (CPP) team, focusing on the application of clinical pharmacology expertise to enhance drug development processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement model-informed drug development strategies by utilizing quantitative methods to integrate pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD), and patient data.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of clinical data to inform dose selection and optimize study designs.
  • Oversee the planning and interpretation of PK and PK/PD analyses, ensuring alignment with development goals.
  • Contribute to regulatory documentation, including submission packages and responses to inquiries from health authorities.
  • Evaluate potential business development opportunities and stay updated on advancements in drug development methodologies.
  • Encourage a collaborative and innovative work environment that fosters creativity.

Qualifications:
Education:
  • Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Pharmacology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
  • PhD in a similar field is preferred, with at least 6 years of experience.

Required Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of PK, PD, and Translational Medicine.
  • Proficiency in modeling tools such as NONMEM, R, and Gastroplus.
  • Understanding of advanced analytical methods including population analysis and PBPK modeling.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present findings and influence stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in drug development with a focus on patient populations and treatment paradigms.
  • Ability to leverage innovative tools for enhancing clinical pharmacology strategies.

Compensation and Benefits:
The anticipated base salary range for this role is between $135,000 and $232,300. Eligible employees may participate in various company-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
