Position Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Role Overview: We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician with a strong foundation in machining, complemented by capabilities in welding and millwrighting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in safety initiatives within the department.
- Demonstrate effective troubleshooting abilities.
- Utilize knowledge of rigging equipment and techniques.
- Accurately document repairs and inspections.
- Employ computer skills for managing bills of materials, entering work results, and completing work orders.
- Measure, layout, and fabricate repair components.
- Collaborate within a multi-craft team environment.
Candidate Requirements:
- Extensive experience in job shop, repair facilities, or maintenance machining.
- Proficient in using measurement tools such as micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators, with expertise in handling various metals.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings with high precision.
Qualifications:
Class 1 Helper:
- Five years of industrial experience at the journeyman machinist level, or
- A two-year technical degree in machining technology, or
- Four years of technical military experience as a machinist.
Class A Journeyman:
- Ten years of industrial experience at the journeyman machinist level, or
- Five years of industrial or military experience along with a two-year technical degree.
